Sense of guilt or guiltiness propagation? Open letter to Somali Newspapers

Kind Somali journalists,
here I'll like to submit to you my concern about how often news are given in Somali newspapers, anticipating that this is not about you (of the mailing list), at least not in a particular way, but is in general about the Somali online newspapers.

Giving information and reports on facts as they happen (based on science and consciousness) is very important, and it is precisely this "making news" and the depth of the verification research that makes the individual journalist a real journalist.

Instead the JOURNALISTS as a CATEGORY, has a task that goes beyond the individual commitment, and in particular in a situation like that of our country. Somalia.

Reporting always a limited "Tom said ..." may just be a limited chronicle and not very professional..

My this letter springs from an article of online Mogadishu journal, where was reported the news "The Somali Interim President Mr. Sharif said that Somalis should forgive each other"

I would like to see at least one Somali newspaper publishing an editorial, asking the President if he thinks that the problem of Somalia today is to "forgive one another
". As if the situation was like two little girls friends / cousins who have had a fight yesterday, and the parent, knowing that there is nothing serious, is asking them not to be childish and to forgive each other.

I wish someone would ask him if this repeated so many times "forgive each other" has to do with a sense of guilt that my Hawiye
brothers feel for what they did in Mogadishu to the rest of Somalis, or if it is a way to propagate and generalize guiltiness, so that does not fall on anyone specific.

I'd like someone informs Sharif that is not time to talk in abstract way. That, if he does not know yet, Somalia is in a shameful situation for more than twenty years. That it is time for Mogadishu clans, forgiveness or lack forgiveness, to stop thinking only of low quality commerce and to think of a Nation Building.

At the end I ask Mr. Sharif, exactly what does it means "Somalis should forgive each other?

Thanks and best regards,

Hussein Aden
